Terms of delivery

General information

The operator and service provider of the Samekki.fi online store is Samekki, (VAT FI26739997). Our address is Lehtolantie 5, FI-99870 Inari.

Samekki sells and manufactures commissioned products for communities and private individuals of legal age. These terms of delivery apply to buying and placing orders in our online store and to similar situations, for example in person or by phone when dealing with Samekki.

These terms of delivery are valid from February 1, 2022. We check the terms of delivery from time to time. Please familiarize yourself with our delivery conditions in advance every time you order products from our online store.

Order or commission?

In this document, an order refers to an event where, for example, a product available in an online store has been paid for and thus we have an obligation to deliver the product in the way you have chosen and paid for.

A commission refers to a situation where you separately agree with Samekki to have a product manufactured for you. Colloquially we often talk about ordering here as well, but in order to avoid confusion with the established terminology of online shopping, it is clearer to talk about a commission in the scope of these delivery conditions.

Products and product prices

Prices of the products on sale are presented in connection with each product. We reserve the right to change prices and shipping costs, so please check the prices in the shopping cart before accepting your order. The prices of the products and the taxes they contain are shown in the shopping cart and in the order confirmation.

Price of commission work is always agreed separately. The price is set with a fixed amount or an hourly charge if it is difficult to estimate the amount of work in advance. The price can also be agreed upon as a combination of these. For example, if the design is done with an hourly charge and when the design is ready, it is easier to give an offer for the price of manufacture.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs that may be charged for an order in the online store depend on the product itself (e.g. weight, packaging) and the chosen delivery method. They are automatically added to the total amount of the order. You can see the shipping costs in your shopping cart before you accept the order.

Ordering and contract

You can order products from our online store by moving them to the shopping cart, confirming the order and paying for the contents of the shopping cart using a payment service. When ordering from our online store, you are required to familiarize yourself with and agree to our current delivery conditions.

Your order, once accepted and confirmed by us, is binding and forms a contract between us with these terms of delivery. The right to cancel an order is explained later in this document.

Payment and payment methods

You can pay for your order using the payment methods available in the online store.

Payment service provider

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) operates as the payment intermediary service provider and in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient of the payment on the bank statement or card invoice and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj has a payment institution license. In cases of complaints, we ask that you first contact the supplier of the product.

Order and payment confirmation

After a successful order, an order confirmation will be sent to your email, so please enter your email address when ordering. The payment method used is also mentioned in the order confirmation.

If for some unexpected reason we cannot confirm your order, we will notify you by email as soon as possible.

Delivery method

We will deliver your order using the delivery method you selected in the online store. In the case of free shipping, we reserve the right to choose the carrier.

Delivery time

Orders selected to be picked up from the workshop can usually be picked up within 24 hours during business hours.

Domestic shipments usually arrive in 2-3 days.

Our delivery times to the EU region are several days, depending on the order and delivery method. The speed of shipments outside the EU varies from a few days to a few weeks.

These are indicative estimates and we will refine them based on information from trading. Help us by letting us know when your order arrives.

Right of cancellation and return conditions

According to the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, consumers have the right to cancel an order by notifying us no later than 14 days after receiving the goods.

The cancellation notification must be made clearly, e.g. using the form on the website, to our email below, or with the written notification that you submit with the returned goods.

In order to maintain the right of cancellation, the products to be returned must be in their original box, without traces of use and well packed for return shipping. Careful packaging is important so that the product does not get damaged. The value of jewelry in particular decreases as soon as a scratch occurs. Fingerprints on the jewelry are not a problem, for reasons of hygiene we wash all returned products in any case.

The right of cancellation does not apply to commission work that is prepared or modified in accordance with your requirements or clearly meet your personal needs.

If the transaction is cancelled, the goods must be returned without delay and no later than 14 days after making the cancellation notice to our return address mentioned below.

If necessary, the returner must prove that the goods have been returned within the deadline, for example with a return receipt. The returner takes care of the costs of the return. These costs will not be reimbursed to the returner.

When returning an order, include your name and contact information and your IBAN bank account number for the refund. In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, we will return the money you paid for the order without delay.

Checking the shipment, error and problem situations

Please check the delivery as soon as you receive it. If the product is lost or damaged during transport, otherwise it does not match your order or is incorrect, please notify us as soon as possible and within 14 days at the latest.

We can together agree on how to fix the mistake. Regarding errors, we comply with the mandatory error liability provisions of the Consumer Protection Act .

Limitation of liability

Samekki is not responsible for any indirect or direct or other damage related to the order, delivery or product or caused by any of the above, except until a mandatory provision in the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory law has stipulated otherwise with regard to the damage in question.

For example, if you order a sharp knife and an accident occurs while pulling it out of a tight sheath, Samekki is not responsible for the damage. Do not handle sharp objects without proper training. Due to the traditional manufacturing methods, the sheaths can sometimes be sensitive to air humidity and the knives can be tight in their sheaths.

We try to avoid this with a long follow-up, because each piece of rawhide "lives" a little bit differently. The described situation is easily rectifiable, but definitely contact Samekki before taking any risks.


We try to resolve any possible disagreements regarding your order primarily by agreement, so please contact us first to agree on the matter. If the disagreement regarding the sales contract cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer can refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board ( www.kuluttajariita.fi ) for resolution. Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the magistrates' consumer advisory service ( www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi ).
